Inclusive Climate Finance Dialogue for a Resilient Asia-Pacific

26-28 August 2025
Hotel Pullman (King Power), Bangkok, Thailand
Asia-Pacific is one of the world’s most climate-vulnerable regions, home to 13 of the 30 most at-risk countries. The 2024 UNDP Human Development Report identifies it as the world’s most disaster-prone region, with climate change posing a “profound existential threat” that could reverse decades of progress. Under a high emissions scenario, GDP losses could reach 17% by 2070 and 41% by 2100. The climate finance globally remains short by an estimated $187–359 billion per year, with current flows covering only about 5% of the adaptation needs. The Regional Dialogue will convene diverse stakeholders across sectors to share practical solutions, reset financial systems, and foster inclusive, community-focused collaboration on climate finance. Objectives include:
  1. Strengthen collective leadership in climate finance by showcasing effective national and local practices, data insights, and governance models for more accountable and impactful climate financing
  2. Accelerate NDC and NAP implementation by exploring new financing pathways aligned with shifting regional priorities and global dynamics
  3. Promote inclusive and adaptive financing models by identifying innovative policies, mechanisms and instruments that expand access to under-represented groups and leverage alternate financing mechanisms
  4. Foster South-South collaboration through peer learning, co-creation, and regional partnerships to scale up climate finance solutions
